Reading Buses took over operation of National Express’ route 925 ‘RailAir’ today. The service runs generally hourly between Woking Station and Heathrow Airport, at any one time utilising two out of three Caetano Levante-bodied Volvo B9R coaches that have been acquired. Registered FJ13 EBL/N/X, they have received fleet numbers 1403-6 which continues the sequence from two previously acquired and painted in fleet livery.
Until now, the service was operated directly National Express. Although Reading Buses now operate it, it does so under contract, so for passengers it will generally be a case of business as usual. This is the model that many National Express routes work under.
.
Has anyone managed to find out what vehicles may be used if there’s no spare coaches available?

I would guess possibly one of the two fleet-liveried Levantes, if they aren’t outside any age clause or suchlike, however that situation is unlikely as only two of the three 13-reg ones are required at any one time.
