If you’re feeling lucky, travelling on Safeguard Coaches‘ Guildford to Park Barn circular routes 4 and 5 may see you bump into their Bus Supervisor, who has been giving out free day return and weekly tickets to passengers as “random acts of kindness”. If you’re not lucky enough to be local to Safeguard’s routes – or to bump into their supervisor on your travels – then you could still be in with a chance of enjoying free bus travel…

Falcon Coaches yesterday launched a photographic competition. They require seven photographs for their new website, depicting the towns and places their seven routes serve. They currently operate five, plus the two they commence operation of during September – the 73 from Saturday 1st September, and 461 from Saturday 15th September. Although they are after seven photos, there are five prizes up for grabs – 1x weekly and 1x day ticket, both valid for unlimited travel, and 3x return tickets for use on a route of your choice. All you need to do is email your photo(s) to sales@falconcoachhire.com by Tuesday 4th September.

In other news from Falcon, they are now beginning testing of their ticket machine upgrades. It is hoped that contactless payment, mobile ticketing and barcode scanning will all be rolled out around mid-September.
